Antique Late Victorian Iron and Brass Bed Frame, Circa 1900

Item Details

An antique Late Victorian iron and brass bed frame, circa 1900. The tubular, black-painted frame features an openwork headboard and foot board with wire spindles. It is further embellished with brass finials and rosette mounts. The ends are joined by two side rails and the frame comes with four wooden slats. There are no maker’s marks.

Condition

- to fair; some minor surface wear and marks; scattered, small paint losses; some dents/dings to brass finials; small break to one side rail connector on foot board (side rail is still able to be inserted/supported); slats are later.

Dimensions

- measured frame exterior at largest points; interiors rails are 53.75" W x 75.25" D; consignor was able to use a full size mattress on this frame.
