Vintage "French Ivory" and Pyralyn Vanity and Grooming Items
Item Details
A large collection of vintage French Ivory celluloid vanity and grooming items. The item features three lint brushes, the light brittle one is marked ‘French Ivory’ and the one with the dark bristles is marked, ‘Travelers France Patented July 26, 1910’. Also includes several make-up, cream and powder jars, pill boxes and compacts, some are monogramed and two have glass liners, the largest is marked on the underside, ‘Ivory Du Barry PY-RA-LIN’ and the smaller is marked, ’ Ivoire SVB DeLuxe’. Plus, several manicure tools in a base marked ‘Ivory La France’, a nail buffer which is faintly marked to the bottom, a button hook, a pin cushion, hinged lidded trinket box, two small fans, a child size compact comb, several cylindrical beauty product and powder canisters, a lipstick compact, a whistle, a glass bottle with monogrammed cover, ‘GJL’ and a ‘GJL’ monogrammed cover missing the glass bottle.
Condition
- consistent with age and use. The fabric on one of the fans is ripped and thus the fan appears broken.
Dimensions
Refers to the rectangualr trinket box. The largest grooming brush is 6.5" wide x 1.5" deep x 1.50 " tall. The smallest compact or pill box is 1.5" wide x .50" tall.
