An oil painting on canvas of an abstract composition by Louis Papp (New York; born 1930), dated autumn 1988. The work has thickly applied warm colors with a streak of pure red pigment to the left. To the verso, the painting is signed, dated, and titled. The work is presented freestanding without a frame.

Louis Papp was a New York based artist known for his abstract, mixed media paintings. He was also a member of the Art Students League, a renowned and respected art school headquartered in Manhattan in the 1970’s and 80’s.
