A mixed media painting on canvas of an abstract composition by listed New York artist Louis Papp (born 1930), created in 1986. This work features an abstract scene comprised of gestural brushstrokes, various textures and vibrant hues intertwined with each other. The painting is signed by hand in ink to the verso. Information regarding the piece is inscribed in ink to the upper stretcher of the canvas. This composition remains unframed.

Louis Papp was a New York based artist known for his abstract, mixed media paintings. He was also a member of the Art Students League, a renowned and respected art school headquartered in Manhattan in the 1970’s and 80’s.
