An oil and mixed media painting on canvas of an abstract scene by artist Louis Papp (New York; born 1930), dated October 29, 1988. The work is comprised of heavy impasto oil paints with sand and gravel. Signed and dated by the artist to the canvas verso and stretcher bar. Presented without a frame.

Louis Papp was a New York based artist known for his abstract mixed media paintings. He was also a member of the Art Students League, a renowned and respected art school headquartered in Manhattan in the 1970’s and 80’s.
