Assortment of 19th Century Sterling Silver Spoons and Forks
Item Details
An assortment of six antique sterling silver flatware pieces made in the United Kingdom. There are three flatware spoons; one is a tablespoon made in Dublin, Ireland circa 1808 by Thomas Townsend and a pair of teaspoons made in London in 1842 by Samuel Hayne and Dudley Cater. There is a two-prong fork made in London in 1836 featuring an engraved family crest. There are two forks, one with an engraved family crest made in London in 1818 by William Bateman I, and one with a shell motif made in 1819 by London’s Richard Britton. Each item is marked as sterling silver along with maker’s marks, date marks, and more. Total approximate item weight is 8.945 ozt.
