An original acrylic painting on canvas titled ‘Magenta Underneath’ by contemporary American artist Robbie Kemper (Cincinnati, Ohio; born 1957). The abstract painting features broad energetic strokes of color in magenta, white, light blue and light green. The layers overlapp in a very loose grid, creating a dynamic composition. The work is signed in black to the lower left. The gallery wrapped canvas is presented unframed, and is equipped to hang with a wire.
Kemper studied art at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning, and is currently a studio resident at the Pendleton Art Center in the historic district of Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio.
