An early 20th-century continental oil painting on canvas interior scene. Two women appear in an interior setting with Victorian clothing and various faint architectural elements. The work is rendered in fine detail and attention to line suggesting a traditional school-taught artist. The work remains unsigned. Presented in a Barbizon style gilt and gesso wood frame with laurel top moulding and deep cove moulding. The frame appears with a secondary liner having beaded and foliate moulding with a beveled sight.
