A John Stobart limited edition offset lithograph titled New York South Street Under A Full Moon in 1882. Stobart (English b.1929) immigrated to the United States in 1965, where he went to New York to pursue his desire to recreate the American harbor scene in the golden age of sail. His works were an immediate success. Wanting the opportunity to share his work more widely through print, he established Maritime Heritage Prints in 1976, maintaining the highest level of quality because he personally remained in control of production. This print is signed in graphite by the artist, and numbered 942/950. It is matted in cream and royal, and framed behind glass in a wood frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
