A gouache painting on unstretched canvas titled Biloxi, MS by listed Cincinnati artist Reginald Leslie Grooms (1900-1989). This painting features a riverside shanty covered in the shade of lush tree in Bilioxi, Mississippi. It is signed and titled in ink to the lower right. This painting remains unstretched and unframed.

Grooms was a painter, watercolorist, lithographer and teacher. His students include many prominent and listed Cincinnati artists. The son of a wood engraver, Grooms took up watercolors and oils as a childhood hobby. He received a minuscule amount of formal art training in his school days. Later, he would later study at the Cincinnati Art Academy for 5 years and the Academie Julian in Paris for 2 years. Grooms has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout his life. His works have been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Cincinnati Art Club, the University of Cincinnati, and more.

- creases and puncture holes to the perimeter where the canvas was once stretched; some fraying to canvas edges; slight toning to canvas around edges.
