Depicted is a group of Native American men making their way across the desert plains, guns in hand ready for possible altercations. Artist’s signature to lower right corner of piece. Painting is presented in a wooden frame with burlap insert and wire hanger to the verso.
Artist Mel Bradshaw was born in Durango, Colorado and has spent most of his life in the American West. Currently he resides in Arizona with his wife and continues to produce genre paintings based on his first-hand experiences of the landscape and lifestyle of his youth. Bradshaw’s paintings are displayed in several private collections and magazine publications including Old West and Western Horseman.
