A vintage folk art oil painting on wood panel of the Fall of Man. Portrayed in a Naive style, this work features Adam and Eve around the tree of knowledge of good and evil, grasping the forbidden fruit. The serpent coils around the tree, angelic figures flank the couple, and a scene of the Expulsion is illustrated on a smaller scale in a cloud to the upper right. The work is unsigned; it is mounted on a wood panel painted beige with a brick-red border. The composition remains unframed.
