A folk art oil painting on canvas board of a southern farm scene, signed ‘A. Smith’, created in 1976. Portrayed in a Naive style with simplified forms and distorted perspective, this farm scene features female and male figures working in the field with various farm tools; scattered throughout the scene are chickens, crops, trees, and a log cabin. The painting is signed to the lower left and dated to the lower right. It is presented in a brown composite wood frame with a faux marbleized pattern and painted black squares affixed in the corners.

- minor scratches throughout surface of painting; adhesive residue to verso; minor scratches, small chips, and finish loss scattered throughout frame.
