A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, pink, blue, ivory, green and brown tones. The red field features a star-shaped medallion center with an overall herati pattern of palmettes and flower sprays. A complex herati patterned border frames the field. The rug is finished at both ends with natural fringe and it is unmarked.
