A signed limited edition offset lithograph on paper titled Fire Base by Jacques Lamy (French, 1946 – 2016). This print depicts a military encampment filled with tanks, soldiers, and other supplies. The print is numbered 1 in an edition of 5000 to the lower left and is signed by hand in ink and in plate to the lower right. Mounted under a single layer of light brown matting, the print is presented under glass in a stained wood frame with a gold tone plaque with the title and artist name. A wire is present to the verso for hanging purposes.
Jacques Lamy was born in France near the Loire Valley in 1946. He received his formal artistic training at Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Lamy worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher. His career allowed him to travel to Spain, Africa, and the United States. His work is housed in institutions such as the Musee D’Art Roger in Quillot, France and the Jesuit Art Museum in Dallas, Texas.
