A signed artist’s proof reproduction print on paper titled 5:30 A.M. by listed artist Mel Bradshaw (Arizona/Colorado; 20/21st century), dated 1986. The piece depicts a western genre scene comprised of a group of cowboys with horses performing various activities at a rainy exterior setting. This print is signed by hand in graphite, titled and marked artist’s proof to the lower margin. A metal plaque with title and artist’s name is affixed to the lower area of the frame. There is a signed and dated certificate of authenticity adhered to the verso. The piece is presented behind museum glass, beneath beige linen matting, housed in a wood frame.

Western painter Mel Bradshaw was born in Durango, Colorado and has spent most of his life in the American West. Currently the artist resides with his wife in Arizona and continues to produce genre paintings based on his first hand experiences of the landscape and lifestyle of his youth. Bradshaw’s paintings are displayed in several private collections and magazine publications including Old West and Western Horseman.
