An oil painting on burlap titled Indian Village Women in Stream by Gene Mobley (American, 20th Century), dated 1985. The work depicts a figurative scene with figures wading in the water and teepees to the background in detailed realism indicative of the artist. To the bottom right, the work is signed and dated. A metal plaque is attached to the frame engraved with the artist’s name. The painting is presented in a deep gold-toned wood and gesso frame with a decorative canvas fillet.
