Jasper Secretary

Item Details

A Jasper mahogany secretary. This piece features a split arched pediment separated by a turned finial, two glass doors with windowpane inlays and brass ornate handles with a single tassel. The interior houses two shelves. The bottom of the cabinet features a slanted desk with an interior of pigeonholes and a surface for writing. There are four drawers on the bottom with double brass batwing pulls, three brass keyhole escutcheons made of dovetail construction. This piece rests on four short lions feet. The maker’s mark is located to the interior of the top drawer.
