Bill Fletcher Oil Painting on Canvas "Kathy's Field"

Item Details

An oil painting on canvas titled Kathy’s Field by Bill Fletcher (American, b. 1958). Roles of hay fill the yellow toned field that spans the lower two-thirds of the composition. A gap in the row of trees in the distance reveals a vibrant blue sky. Signed to the lower left, ‘Fletcher.’ Presented in an Art Nouveau style gilt and gesso wood frame.

Influenced by the land of his home and a passion for art, Fletcher is known for his masterful landscapes and rich still life compositions. The Kentucky native received his artistic training from a plethora of exceptional teachers as a young man acquiring the essential building blocks for drafting. Fletcher eventually went on to study toxicology, making time for his art whenever possible. In 1996 he began painting in oils, taking lessons from local workshops and other artists.
