A framed lithograph of an original cartoon by Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Gene Payne (1919-2010). In this piece, from March 1980, Payne seems to lampoon contemporary art and the greater art world in general. Payne was the cartoonist for the Charlotte Observer from 1960 to 1971 and earned the Pulitzer Prize in 1968.
