A circa 1885 panoramic carbon print of Giacomo Brogi’s (Italy, 1822 – 1881) photograph titled The Forum Temple Ruins, Rome. The large panoramic carbon print illustrates in sepia tones the Roman Forum predominantly featuring the column remains of The Temple of Saturn in the foreground, the column ruins of the Temple of Castor and Pollux to the right and the Colosseum in the distance. Housed in a veneerite wood frame under glass. To the verso is a J. B. & Co. label.

Giacomo Brogi was an Italian photographer with his first studio established in Florence in 1864. After traveling extensively in Egypt, Syria and Palestine, Brogi had photographic studios in both Naples and Rome as well.

- minor wear to the finish on the frame. Tears to the paper backing.
