Handwoven Native American-Style Rugs/Wall Hangings
Item Details
A group of handwoven Native American-style rugs/wall hangings. The group includes four rugs, all of which feature abstract geometric patterns. A Navajo-style area rug is woven in a palette of black, midnight blue, azure, red, and camel; it features horizontal stripes offset by cross shapes, with a wide red panel at the center. Selvedges and ends are hand-finished, each corner featuring a tasseled cord in midnight blue. Also included is a fringed area rug in the same palette as the Navajo-style rug. It features fringed and stepped diamond medallions enclosing cross shapes, the medallions resting on a variegated red and black field. A pair of accent rugs feature variations of horizontal, stepped diamond patterns, one in a palette of blue and red, the other in black, ivory, gray and red. The rugs are unlabeled.
