A vintage machine made Shiraz brand area rug. This finely knotted machine made carpet is crafted from wool fibers and features a Kerman inspired design in rich ocher, white, golden yellow, tan , and black. It has a circular medallion on a scalloped oval shaped lozenge. The field is framed by borders of palmettes, foliate vines, and ‘S’ hook motifs. It has fringe to either end and it is marked to the verso with manufacturers tags.
