An assortment of vintage newspaper comics, illustrations and advertisements, chiefly dating to the 1940s. This sixty-five-piece collection includes material relating to World War II, such as a black-and-white comic strip from The Kansas City Star of September 19, 1943 titled ‘Happenings on the Home Front’. The collection also features numerous color Sunday comic strips from series including Superman, Flash Gordon, Li’l Abner, Mickey Mouse, Prince Valiant, Snuffy Smith and more.

Condition

- page yellowing; some uneven edges where comic was cut or torn from paper; minor creasing; general light wear; all pieces presented in plastic sleeves with cardboard backing.
