An assortment of vintage newspaper comics, illustrations, advertisements and other clippings, dating from the 1920s through the 1940s. This thirty-two-piece collection includes numerous color Sunday comic strips from series such as Strange as It Seems, Vignettes of Life, Dick Tracy and more. Other highlights include the front page from a September 1, 1935 ‘Quintuplet Extra’ of the Denver News, featuring color illustrations of the Dionne quintuplets; and ‘Frolics of Florabel’, a short narrative poem about flappers by Berton Braley with color illustrations by George J. Kerr.

Condition

- to fair; water damage to Quintuplet Extra page; page yellowing; some uneven edges where clipping was cut or torn from paper; some creasing and minor tears; general light wear; all pieces presented in plastic sleeves with cardboard backing.
