A hand colored etching titled In a Welch Valley. This intaglio print depicts two figures resting near the water’s edge of a narrow peninsula extending in to a broad river. Large rock faced mountains rise up in the distance. The work is attributed in-plate to original artist B.W. Leader (1831-1923) and engraver W. Chauvel. The print is presented mounted to mat board, unframed.
Condition
Good; Outermost margins of the paper show ripped and torn surface abrasion from being separated from a mat in a previous framing job. This does not negatively affect all other areas within the visible plate marks.
