African Carved Wooden Sculptures
Item Details
A pair of African carved wooden figures. Included is a seated figure of a man with a painted fabric cape. The man’s face is carved with tattoo marks and has painted eyes. The other sculpture is likely from the Makonde tribe in southern Tanzania. The tall narrow abstract wood carving features two heads, one at the top and the other at the bottom and elongated limbs.
