A lacquered bronze sculpture after the Hellenistic sculpture Dying Gaul after the Roman marble sculpture copy which exhibits at the Capitoline Museum in Rome, Italy. The sculpture depicts a fallen Gaul warrior with a open wound to his side. He sits atop his oval shield with his sword and battle horns strewn about. The base is marked in mold, ‘Musée du Capitole’. This bronze sculpture consists of metals: copper, zinc, and lead.
