Two Vintage Patchwork Quilts
Item Details
A group of two vintage patchwork quilts. Included is a geometric patterned quilt with diagonal stripes, which is tied with red yarn. The quilt is made from a variety of woolen type fabrics. The other is a crazy quilt, made from scraps of various fabrics in a variety of geometric shapes. Some of the patches in the quilt are hand-embroidered with different motifs. One patch on the quilt is embroidered with ‘1897’. This quilt is tied with gold colored embroidery thread. No maker’s marks.
Condition
Good to fair:
- some of the fabrics are thin and fraying from age and use
- some wear throughout
