Pair Vintage Four Pointed Star Motif Cotton Quilts
Item Details
A pair of vintage four pointed star motif cotton quilts. One quilt in colors blue, yellow, pink, and green features a block pattern comprising square patches at the center of four pointed stars inside ‘Iron Cross’ style crosses. The cross designs are arranged on a white field accented with floral and leaf motif white embroidery. A triangular pattern border, using the same fabrics as the crosses, and a white outside edge complete the design. The back of the quilt has solid white fabric with an embroidered pattern similar to that of the white field on the front. The other quilt in colors pink, yellow and white depicts blocks of four pointed stars alternating with pink fabric squares bearing a tiny polka-dotted design. The design of the quilt is finished with a yellow border. The back of the quilt has white fabric.
Condition
- cross motif quilt has a couple stains on the front. Pink quilt has tears to one of the stars and is significantly faded.
