Hand Thrown Stoneware Bowl

Item Details

A hand thrown stoneware bowl, second half 20th-century. The bowl has a wide mouth with a slightly extended rim and bold, defined shoulder. It tapers to a smaller base with a neatly trimmed foot ring. It is decorated with a turquoise and brown dipped and poured glaze. Incised signature to the underside, ‘MD’.

Condition

- large crack running through one side; 1/4" chip around the rim; 1/4" chip to the large cracked side.
