An antique mahogany and pine desk-on-stand, circa 19th century. The dovetailed, mahogany desk features a hinged, slant-lid with a raised, support lip opening to a vacant, storage well. It is attached to a pine stand with a single, dovetailed drawer and a straight, beaded apron. The drawer front is fitted with wooden knobs and the whole piece rises on four ring-turned legs.

- desk and stand are probably married; scattered scratches, nicks, and marks to both; desk with a repaired strip along back edge of top and to left portion of support lip; slant lid slightly warped with some stains/discolored spots; top possibly had a rear gallery at one time; legs with wear (rubbing and chips) to ringed elements and one with some minor/former pest damage (worming); top block of front left leg with a crack and a resulting glue repair; desk and drawer are missing interior lock mechanisms and hasp; other minor wear as would be expected with age and use.
