Item Details

An original oil painting on canvas by artist Carlo Kappo. The painting depicts a man wearing eighteenth-century Spanish costume, including a wide black hat, a red velvet cloak and white lace jabot. The painting is presented in a highly ornate, carved and gilded wood frame with a hanging wire on the back. The artist was the mentor of Colorado artist Ed J. Hummer and this painting was given to Hummer by the artist, who inscribed the back of the canvas, ‘Ed J – May 8, 1961’.
