A title page and illustration from a publication of the play Falstaff’s Wedding by English writer William Kenrick (c. 1725 – 1779). The illustration is titled ‘Mr. Henderson in the character of Falstaff’, and depicts a hand colored portrait of the rotund actor wearing a sword. The book pages are presented under a blue-grey mat and glass in a wood frame, wired to hang.

Condition

- to fair; scratches, chips and scuff marks on frame; discoloration, foxing and mat burn to paper.

- measures frame; larger visible image measures 4.75" W x 8.5" H.
