A 1909 Doubleday, Page & Co. cloth bound publication titled The Dog Book by James Watson. The hardback book is profusely illustrated in black and white to include the history of the dog, practical information concerning house, kennel and exhibition dogs as well as descriptions of all breeds. A written inscription in ink on the first blank fly page reads ‘Cornelia C. Parker Sept. 1909 to Nat Merry Christmas 1909’.
