A color lithograph poster for The Threepenny Opera designed by influential 20th century artist David Hockney (born 1937). This three color print depicts a man seated at a triangular bar across from a showgirl with fan and feather boa. Below the red and green image is printed hand-written text offering information for the stage performance at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Text printed along the right margin attributes this work as designed by David Hockney and printed by King & Jackson. It is presented in a clear acrylic frame with reinforced corners attached on the verso to rope stretchers and a metal hanging mount.

Condition

- edges of poster show discoloration/ wear; verso has some minor stains; visible tears in the edges of the poster, but preserved under acrylic
