Antique Pennsylvania Grain-Painted Corner Cupboard, Circa 1820-1830

Item Details

An antique Pennsylvania grain-painted corner cupboard, circa 1820-1830. The two-part, poplar case retains an old, ochre-grained surface. The upper section features a flared cornice above a glazed, twelve-light door opening to a four-shelf, cream-painted interior with applied plate strips. The lower section has two blind-paneled doors concealing an unpainted, two-shelf interior. Both case sections are flanked by canted stiles and the corner cupboard rises on a molded base ending in shaped, front feet.
