An antique Mt. Lebanon Shaker no. 5 rocker, circa late 19th to early 20th century. The dark-stained, maple frame features three arched slats flanked by cylindrical stiles with acorn finials. The open, curved arms continue to mushroom cap handholds above baluster-turned supports and a woven, rope seat. It rises on turned legs joined by a spindled, double-box stretcher and ending in rockers. The back of the top slat is stamped ‘5’.

- scattered wear to finish, with a heavier concentration along lower edges of rockers; left mushroom cap handhold is loose and needs to be re-reglued; rope seat is probably later; other minor surface wear as would be expected.
