Item Details

An early 20th century Windsor style sack-back armchair with knuckle arms. The mixed-hardwood frame features a bowed crest above a nine-spindle back with a contoured, medial rail ending in knuckled handholds. The saddle seat is supported by four splayed, bamboo-turned legs joined by a spindled H-stretcher. Beneath the seat is a paper tag marked ‘William P. Porter & Bro. / Antiques / Four Hundred and Seven North Main Street / Doylestown, Pa. / Reproducing Refinishing Restoring / Phone 363-J’.
