Louis XV Style Fauteuil with Toile Upholstery

A Louis XV style fauteuil. The chair has a walnut frame with an arched crest rail with shell detail flanked by acanthus leaves over a cartouche shaped back. The seat is flanked by straight arms with curved supports and rests on cabriole legs with carved knees with scrolled feet. The back, seat, and armrests are upholstered in a cream and brown toile fabric with double welted trim. There are no visible maker’s marks.
