Property from an American Midwestern Museum
An assortment of three paintings on board and paper of Native American and Western scenes. This set features a man with a herd of goats on an ominous, grassy plane titled Have You Seen My Kids by Cheyenne artist Merlin Little Thunder (born 1956) rendered with gouache, an oil painting on board titled Storage Pot Remains by artist Ruth E. Harris, and an acrylic painting on board titled Evening’s Fire by American artist Joseph Yarnell. They are signed to the lower right corner and presented with artist labels to the verso, which indicate dates and titles. Each painting is presented in wooden frames, and Have You Seen My Kids is also presented under glass.
Featured artist Merlin Little Thunder is known for doing detailed thumbnail watercolor paintings, which are inspired by his Cheyenne heritage.
