Antique Japanese Satsuma Ware Cup and Saucer with Crane Motif

An antique Japanese Satsuma ware cup and saucer set with a crane motif dated during the Meiji (1868 – 1912) or Taishō (1912 – 1926) Period. The work depicts multiple cranes using thick multicolored enamel indicative of Satsuma ware with an off white craquelure glaze base. To the bottom of each base, a makers mark is included. The items are presented freestanding.
Condition
some discoloration to the lip and inside of the cup; small chip to the bottom of the handle; stain to the face of the plate; wear to the base of each item.
