Barker Oil Painting on Canvas of Southwestern Style Pottery
Item Details
A late 20th-century oil painting on canvas by Barker. The piece depicts two Southwestern-style clay pots set against a tan background accented with distant pastel-hued pueblo inspired architecture. The work is signed ‘Barker’ in coral paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a distressed light blue wooden frame fitted with a sawtooth hanger to the verso.
Condition
- toning and discoloration to canvas and verso; areas of smudging to surface; chips, nicks, scratching and loose joints to frame; some loose staples to verso; no backing paper present.
