Antique Japanese Cloisonné Dish with Floral Motif
Item Details
An antique Japanese cloisonné dish with a floral motif dated during either the Meiji (1868 – 1912) or Taishō (1912 – 1926) Period. The work depicts a symmetrical floral patter in red, green, yellow, and dark blue on a baby blue background. To the verso, repeating circle and oval patters have been glazed over.
Condition
- some staining and craquelure to the surface of the work; to the verso, some chips to the lip of the item; item is uneven and can wobble.
