An oil painting on canvas titled The Gathering Storm by listed artist Gene Renner Mobley. The work depicts a Native American tribe comprised of horses, dogs and multiple figures facing an imminent thunder storm. The painting is signed with the artist’s monogram ‘GRM’ to the lower right corner. There is a metal plate engraved with the artist’s name and title affixed to the lower center of the frame. The piece is presented beneath a brown faux suede liner with a gilt fillet, housed in a gesso and gilt frame.
