An oil painting on canvas titled Dreams of the Past by listed artist K. Henderson (Oklahoma; b. 1954). The work depicts a portrait of a Native American man wearing traditional hair adornments and the symbol of victory in hand-to-hand combat on his face. The artist’s signature is seen to the lower left corner of painting. The work is presented in a gold-toned wooden frame with linen insert and wire hanger to verso.
K. Henderson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and in known for her detailed western, equestrian, and Native American portraits inspired by her Native American heritage. She has won many awards and is a member of the Oil Painters of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painter Society (NOAPS) Signature member, International Guild of Realism, and Single Action Shooters Society (SASS).
