A pair of watercolor paintings on paper of equestrian scenes by listed Navajo artist Justin Tso (born 1948). These paintings feature horses crossing a western plane, only one of which has a rider. They are signed in paint to the lower right. A framer’s label is stamped to the verso of each. Each painting is presented matted and housed in wooden frame under glass.

Justin Tso was born in Canyon de Chelly, Arizona and is known for his equestrian scenes and Navajo reservation landscapes. He is very proud of his heritage and takes great care to portray this in his paintings. He went to many different schools all over the southwest including Chinle, Arizona; Gallup, New Mexico; and Lawton, Oklahoma, and completed his education at I.T.C. in San Francisco, California, and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

- minor foxing and tonging to mats; some warping to mats; scuffs and scratches to frames; dust and debris.
