An oil painting on canvas titled Indian & Horse Approaching a Campfire by listed artist Shep Chadhorn (20th Century). The painting depicts a Native American man leading his horse down a hill while holding a gun. They slowly approaching a campfire surrounded by seated figures in the pitch black night. The artist’s signature is seen to the lower right corner. The work is presented in a gold-toned frame with faux suede insert and a wire hanger to the verso.
Blackfoot American Indian artist Shep Chadhorn (20th Century) received formal painting education from the Art Institute of New York. His figurative works of Native American life and Western Genre scenes have been displayed and sold throughout the American Southwest.
