A watercolor painting on paper in the manner of well-listed artist Paul Klee (1879-1940). The work depicts an abstract composition comprised of overlapping geometric forms filled with translucent pigments. To the upper left, the painting is signed in paint “Klee” to appear in the style of Paul Klee. There is an ink inscription reading ‘signed by Paul Klee’ included to the verso. The composition is presented beneath green matting, behind glass, housed in a wood frame with a blue painted finish.
Condition
- warping, foxing, minor tears and wrinkles throughout the composition; wear to frame; backing is loose from frame and would benefit from securing.
