An oil painting on canvas of a landscape with a boy fishing by W. Wilson. This painting depicts a landscape with a boy fishing in a pond under a vast blue sky with white clouds. The piece is signed by the artist and dated ‘96’ to the lower right. It is presented in a wood and gesso frame.
Condition
- painting shows some cracking; UV testing shows inpainting throughout; painting is extremely dark and it’s possible that some of that is attributable to accretion on surface; edge wear to frame; areas of missing gesso to the upper left corner and lower center.
